Whether it be Mike or someone else who takes Gretel's job, sacking her would be a good thing. The best thing about putting Mike in the role would be that he already knows how the show works and you can be sure he will be liked. You don't want to get rid of someone and replace them with someone the public dislike even more! I would just like to say though that I do believe Gretel has done a good job in the past (especially in the earlier series), but she just seems to have outgrown the role. She's boring and the show needs a new face. I will always give kudos to the way she handled that idiot with the refugee sign, but I do believe her time is up.
